Last Updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how A-Pocket collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our application and related services. By using A-Pocket, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Introduction
A-Pocket ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise handle your information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (the "Service"). This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
2. Who Can Use the Service
The Service is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly provide the Service to, or collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service or provide any information to us.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the information you choose to provide and information generated through your use of the Service, including:
- Account Information: when you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored in encrypted/hashed form).
- Google Account Information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture.
- Financial Data: the accounts, transactions, categories, goals, and other financial information you choose to enter and track in the app. This data is entered manually by you; we do not connect to your bank.
- Device and Technical Information: device type, operating system, app version, language, and unique identifiers.
- Usage Information: how you interact with the Service, including features used and actions taken.
- Support and Contact Data: if you contact us (for example, through the contact form), we collect the name, email, and message you provide.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Create and authenticate your account and process your requests;
- Process subscriptions and manage entitlements (billing itself is handled by the app store);
- Send you service updates, security alerts, and administrative messages;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide support;
- Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security and integrity of the Service.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service); your consent (which you may withdraw); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Firebase Authentication and the Firestore database (provided by Google Cloud). We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to help protect your information.
However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure. You provide and use the Service at your own risk, and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we cannot guarantee absolute security and are not liable for unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of data resulting from events beyond our reasonable control.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period.
8. Third-Party Services
Our Service relies on trusted third-party providers that may process information on our behalf or under their own policies:
- Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, database, and hosting.
- Google OAuth: optional sign-in with your Google account.
- Expo (EAS): app distribution and updates.
- Google Play (billing): processing of subscription purchases.
- Contact form provider: when you send us a message, a form-delivery service transmits it to our support email.
These providers have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own, including where our providers (such as Google) operate their infrastructure. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.
11. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (such as the GDPR, LGPD, the Australian Privacy Principles, or equivalent), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request deletion of your account and personal data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
12. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us at info@anmoas.com. Once deleted, your data is removed from our active systems, subject to any retention required by law. Some anonymized or aggregated data that no longer identifies you may be retained.
13. Cookies and Local Storage
The web version of the Service uses local storage and similar technologies strictly to keep you signed in and remember preferences (such as your chosen language). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or unauthorized access arising from your use of the Service or from events beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under mandatory data-protection or consumer laws that cannot be excluded.
